The "Kompanionki" project

Project goal

Building and maintaining the free "Kompanionki" mobile app for safely finding companions among women in Ukraine, and developing a community of women's mutual support in Ukraine.

Project description

"Kompanionki" is a free mobile app (iOS and Android) and a community where women in Ukraine find companions for co-living, travel, leisure and mutual support. Within the project we build and maintain the app with profile browsing, a map of members nearby, chats, groups and events, and we plan to add an optional selfie verification of profiles to make the community space safer. The expected outcome of this stage is a stable app with a core feature set, available to users across Ukraine.

Required sum

The required sum for the first stage of the project is UAH 50,000.

Directions of fund use

Funds are directed to the areas below. The approximate split between areas may change depending on the project's actual needs:

• building and maintaining the mobile app
• infrastructure, services and software licences
• design and research into users' needs
• legal, accounting and administrative support
• banking and payment fees

Fund-collection timeline

Collection for the first stage runs from 01.09.2026 to 31.08.2027 (12 months). After that period the Organization publishes the stage's results and, if needed, announces the next collection stage with a new sum and timeline.

Use of surplus funds

If the sum collected exceeds the required sum, or if the project is not realised within the stated timeline, the surplus will be directed to the Organization's other statutory projects in the field of women's mutual support and safety. The decision to reallocate is taken by the executive body (the Head) of the Organization in accordance with clause 29 of the Charter.

Donor consent

By making a voluntary donation, the Donor confirms that the donation is voluntary, gratuitous and non-refundable and is not returned. The Donor gives prior consent that the funds may be used by the Organization for its other statutory projects if the required sum is exceeded or this project is not realised.
